A plate full of this Grilled Chipotle Chicken with Maple Rub is loaded with full flavors. Marinating the chicken in Butcher BBQ’s Chipotle Grilling and BBQ Sauce allows it to tenderize and absorb seasonings. Then, we rub the chicken with BBQ Butcher’s Dry Seasoning Maple Rub. By using two of our delicious sauces and spices, it's easy to double down on those irresistible grilling flavors. One might not first consider Maple Rub to go alongside Chipotle Sauce, but it's a perfect balance in seasonings— Sweet and savory, with spices like paprika and garlic powder. Placed on a hot grill, these seasonings come to life throughout the chicken.

This is a great dish to feed a hungry group of people without having to make your own seasonings and marinades. And you will never have to worry about how it will taste. Extra Chipotle BBQ Sauce smothered on the chicken at the last minute ensures those flavors are locked in! After grilling to juicy perfection, it’s always important to allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes. We know it's tempting to cut into the mouthwatering meat right away, but you don’t want to lose those juices when it's still hot and steaming. In this recipe, both the Chipotle BBQ Sauce and Dry Maple Rub prevent the chicken from drying out.
Enjoy this Grilled Chipotle Chicken with Maple Rub alongside roasted potatoes and vegetables or chopped up in tacos and burritos. Or, slice it up the next day and add to a chopped salad with ranch or a simple vinaigrette— If it lasts until the next day! It’s good enough on its own to simply be enjoyed in cold bites straight from the fridge.

Ingredients
½ cup + ¼ cup Chipotle Grilling Sauce, divided
1 tbsp Dry Seasoning Maple Rub
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
Grilling oil of choice
Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish or plastic bag. Add ½ cup Chipotle Grilling Sauce and allow to marinade for at least 1 hour. After marinating, remove the chicken from the bag and pat dry with a paper towel to remove most of the sauce. Generously rub each chicken breast with half of the Maple Rub.
When ready to cook, lightly grease the grill and preheat to medium-high heat.
Remove chicken from marinade and grill over medium-high heat for about 4-6 minutes.
Flip chicken and slather 1 tbsp of Chipotle Grilling Sauce over each chicken breast. Allow to continue cooking for another 4-6 minutes (depending on the thickness of the chicken), until the chicken breasts have reached an internal temperature of 165ºF.
Remove the chicken from the grill and let rest roughly 5 minutes before serving and slicing.
